"Curicó Bookstore Poster"
A few weeks back, we shared the story of a long-lost Kiltro poster that hadn’t been printed in years. A piece of early band history created by our longtime friend and collaborator Julian Brier.
We’ve now reprinted it and are making it available exclusively to our Patreon community:
-
$25 – 13x16 print (limited to 75)
-
$50 – Signed edition (limited to 25) (SOLD OUT)
Julian has been part of Kiltro’s creative world since the beginning. Here’s a bit of what Chris shared about their history:
“Will and I have known Julian since we were teenagers. When I met him, he was the lead singer of Will’s band at the time and had more charisma than I could ever have managed. Little did I know he had this colorful inner world and immense talent for visual art... He went on to become a graphic novelist, and it’s no surprise the work he produced for us captured both the fantastical and nuanced details of my own imagined city.”
— Chris
And from Julian himself:
“Valparaíso is a recurring theme within Kiltro’s work. The first poster I ever did for the band was of a simple red dog. I imagined that dog roaming the dark winding streets of Valpo, observing the stories of the people living within — a spectator of the world from Creatures of Habit.
The piece was done on Bristol with India ink and micron, then colored using pastel shavings rubbed in with a Q-tip.”
